In recent years, distributed version control systems (DVCS) have been rapidly gaining popularity. And this is more than just a trend. A DVCS such as Git or Mercurial significantly boosts the productivity of IT professionals by making their everyday tasks easier.

However, a DVCS differs from a conventional centralized system, and the move from traditional approaches to distributed ones often proves difficult. To get the most out of distributed systems, you need to get to know them better. Our training is a unique opportunity to do just that.

After the training, participants will be able to confidently use one of the most popular of these systems: Git. They’ll gain the skills they need to work both on their own and as part of a team.

The training’s hands-on exercises build muscle memory, not just knowledge. Because Git’s full potential can only be unlocked from the command line, that’s where most of the practical work takes place. That said, the skills you gain will also let you work with Git GUI clients.
