The microservices architectural style has become so popular that it’s used almost everywhere. Even where there’s not the slightest need for it. As a result, systems end up fragile and expensive to maintain. This architectural style helps solve certain problems, but it brings many new ones, and solving those requires knowledge of new design patterns and ready-made tools.
